NEW Dereham Recycling Centre
Dereham's new Recycling Centre, at Trafalgar Business Park off Rash's Green, is modelled on the modern facility at King's Lynn which was opened in November 2008 and where recycling rates have increased by nearly a fifth.
Dereham will become Norfolk's eighth main recycling centre and provide facilities for paint disposal and a Pay As You Throw service for DIY waste. It will also include a bring and buy Reuse Shop for good quality non-electrical household items.
The site will be spacious with ample parking and well-signed zones. Low level bins will make using the site easy and all areas will be easily accessible and include covered walkways.
The site will also feature a dedicated central area for service vehicles ensuring it doesn't have to close for essential waste collection and servicing operations. CCTV will be installed for security and to prevent trade waste disposal.
